Austin's Post Daytona Results

Austin started the 57 Daytona 500 in 30th position Austin had to start there because he did not lock into the race through the qualifying.  Austin got in because he finish in 15th place in the Bud Duel on Thursday night.

For the first half of the race Austin stayed back in the back no higher than 30th. With cautions  half way he worked his way up to the front. Austin had a great second half where he placed in14th

Austin went through  three cars during his speed weeks.  I am glad he finish up having a great Daytona 500. This was the second time he has been in  the All American big race of the year. Austin got in a wreck with Jeff Gordon in the last few laps. I am sure there is a lot of Jeff fan's not liking him for that.

With this being Austin's second year in the 500 I am sure he  still get's nervous when the 500 comes along away year. Austin is still  very young in the sport he will keep getting better with each 500 he races in.

I think that the more races that Austin gets under his belt the better he will become in the Sprint Cup. Good luck Austin in this weekends race.

My Interview With NASCAR Fan Ashley Schindler

How long have you been a NASCAR fan for?
NASCAR has always been on in my house, but I have to say that I began really following the sport at the age of ten.
Growing up in NY did you get to go to a lot of races as a child?
What made you decide to start you blogs up when you where a teen?
Growing up, I usually went to Dover and Pocono because they were somewhat close, but I had attended races at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway.
What made you decide to start you blogs up when you where a teen?\
I started my blog, The NASCAR Corner, about four and a half years ago, just as something fun to do to keep me occupied during the summer and it spiraled from there.
How are your blogs doing since your in School full time?
Being in school definitely makes it harder to write as much as I used to, but I do my best to get content out whenever possible.
What is the best way to succeed in racing blogs?
I’d have to say the best way to succeed in blogging is to write from the heart and share the link for the articles on your social media accounts so more people read it.
What are you're fave tracks?
My favorite tracks are Bristol, Talladega, and Charlotte.
Do you have any racing heros?
As far as racing heroes goes, I don’t really have any, but on the reporting side, my biggest hero is Steve Byrnes – he has been such a positive influence in my life for about four years now.
\Why did you decide to take journalism for NASCAR?
I’m majoring in Mass Media with a minor in Journalism because I would love to one day be a NASCAR television reporter.
What was it like to go to the studio to meet some media people you look up to?
I’ve gone to FOX Sports 1 twice now and it has been an Honor both times. Getting to sit down and talk with the people who are doing what I aspire to do is truly inspiring.

Do you plan on getting to any races this year?
This year, I plan on going to Charlotte, Martinsville, and Talladega. If more become available to me, then I’ll be going.
what would be your advice to me in my second year of doing racing blogs?
My advice for you in blogging is just keep doing what you love and don’t let anyone get you down.
What is your main goal for your future?
My main goal is to work as a NASCAR television reporter for FOX Sports 1, covering the sport I love.

My Interview With NASCAR Fan Tess Toth

Where do you come from, can you tell me and others a little about yourself?

I'm originally from a small town in New Jersey, but I moved to East Tennessee almost 3 years ago. I'm a 2nd year Culinary and Pastry Arts ...student.

How long have you been a NASCAR fan?

I've been a NASCAR fan for as long as I can remember.

Do you go to any different tracks around home?

I love going to Bristol and Charlotte. Dover and Pocono are fantastic as well

What other kind of racing to you enjoy?

I love watching sprint cars and late models. They're so fun to watch

Who would you say is your fave driver?

 Kasey Kahne

Do you have any racing role models?

Definitely Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex Jr.

Do you have a fave Team Ower or owner"s

My favorite teams are HMS and RFR

What is the best thing about being a NASCAR fan?

Meeting other fans. Everyone is so supportive of each other and I feel so much safer at a race than I do at any other sporting event

What would you say to all the people who say Nascar is not a sport?

Not everyone can drive a stick car at almost 200 mph. It takes athleticism to do it as well as the drivers do. If racing isn't a sport .than neither is track and field (I ran track for 3 years...it's definitely a sport)

What do you think of the new Chase rules ?

like it but I wish they explained it better ...before the season started.

Do you get mad when people down your driver?

I get ridiculously mad when people talk down to my driver. Nothing makes me more mad than that.

What would you tell new fans?

New fans, don't root for one driver because of his/her looks or car color/number. Pay more attention to talent and teams. Also, go to a  lot of races. You'll have a blast wherever you go
