Austin's Post Race Richmond

Austin Dillion started today's Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond in 12th Austin did not make the chase this year but that is fine because  it does not stop us Austin fans from supporting him. My Letter to Sherry Pollex and Martin Truex Jr

Sherry Pollex is my all time girlfried on pit road she is the long time girlfriend of Martin Truex Jr. You can always see her at the races supporting her guy. Sheery is a huge supporter of his foundation as well. She also has a bouque with her sister in North Carolina. I have a lot of respect for Sheey and the type  of person she is she is always happy and try to help anyone she can she is always to talk about things about her or Martin's things going on. Her and Martin support young children with cancer and they love making the young children happy and they always take things to  them in the Hospital. Last year Their world was rocked when Sherry went to her Doctor and it was hard to look at her he said '' Sherry you have ovarian cancer and it has spread you need to see someone tomorrow'' For Sherry that was very hard for her to hear at such a very young age. Last year she under went a major operation to remove the cancer through that time Martin was right there by her side every step of her recovery he also took weeks off after to be there while she was recovering. Sherry shaved her own head because she knew that she end up losing it for the rest of last year she had gone through hard chemo she felt pretty bad after them but she was  very strong through it all. This year she has finally got back to the track she looks amazing for going through everything she has. I am so happy she was able to celebrate Martins win few months ago in victory lane they both needed that because Martin is such a good talent I love to see him win if anyone deserves it it is him Sherry and the whole team. I am so glad to see her back on pit road I missed her  not there. Sherry still has her cancer but is filling a lot better she is only doing chemo once a month  now and wears hair extensions but Sherry you look great  you are amazing and increadable young woman  I know you are beating it  this time and if it ever arises     you will again you are very strong and a fighter. You are such a inspiration to any one with this or any cancer and the way you delt with it was amazing I know you are heartbroken  you can.t be a mom but there are many other ways you can. I love you and Martin as a couple you can see the love you to have. You 2 are my fave Nascar Couple ever. Sherry thank you for all your support with my blogs and the support to come as I go Thank you very much this is  just a little note to pay you back for believing in me

Saturday 25 July 2015

Here is My Interview With NikkiRacing

1. For the people who do not know you can you tell them about yourself?

NIKKI   For the people that don't know me, I'm a 16 year old girl who has been involved in racing her entire life.

2. At what age did you say hey this is something I want to do?

Nikki  I was eight years old when I decided I wanted to race, and at the time I had started with Quarter Midgets.

3. What age did you get to set  in the stands as a fan?

NIKKI   I was 6 years old when I started going to the races just as a fan.

4. At what age did you start racing?

Nikki   I was eight when I began racing.

5. What series have you raced  so far?

NIKKI   So far, I've only raced in the NASCAR Wheeling All-American Series, I'm in the DARE Stock division.

 6. Being a young women driver what was it like to finaly get your first win?

NIKKI    Well I haven't won any races in the DARE Stock divison, and it's only my second year. But I've won in the quarter midgets, an Organization I was involved  in for 6 years and getting my first win was unbelievable, it's the one thing every driver is out there for.

7. Do  the male driver's repect you or do they want you to earn it?

NIKKI   I think it depends on the person some show respect others don't, but it's normally  not because I'm a girl, usually it's because that's How they treat every other driver. I think I'm treated pretty fairly, which is all I want in my competitor's.

NIKKI  8. No I am not scared of my competitor's, they are just like me and we are all going for the win. I'm not intimidated easily which is a good Quatily to have in this sport.

9 . Have you had many wrecks since you been racing?

NIKKI  Well in all I've been racing for 8 years now in all so I don't think I could count the amount of wrecks I've been in. It happens to Everyone and racing the amount of years I've been it's impossible to count. I'm not trying to say I wreck a lot but we all have good and bad Weeks in the sport.

10. With only being 16 is your parents nervous with you out there racing?

NIKKI   I don't think they are as nervous as when I was younger. I think as parents they are always going to be nervous but they hide it a lot Better now then before when I was 8 years old.

11 After you wreck how much time does it take to get them ready for your next race.?

NIKKI  As long as I'm alright when I get out of the car I'm  sure they are ready to fix the car and get out there next week. There is so much Safety features built into these racecars that I've never gotten out of a wreck with anything more than maybe a bruise.

12. What would you tell people who say racing  isnt  a sport you just go right?

NIKKI   Well I think people can draw their own conclusions. People who say that don't know all the time and money that drivers and their crews Put into their racecars. Also, I think drivers are athletes, we aren't playing on any courts but when you have fractions of a second to get Around a wreck that's right infront of you I think that takes a lot more skill then people know.

13. Do you see your self in a Nascar series at some point?

NIKKI    I would love to be in NASCAR but it's an expensive business. I'm only racing the divison I am now because of the help of others since My family does not have the money to do this by ourselfs and that is why my sponsors are really important to me. So, maybe, I could make it Up through the ranks and I hope too but we aren't millionaires, so I have to be realistic.

14.How  has your season been going so far this season.?

NIKKI   My second season in the DARE Stocks has seen our ups and downs. We has a few rough weeks in a row with just wrecks and bad luck and that Was hard but we are pushing through and actually we got a top 5 last night!

15  What is your advice to young girls who like to be in the sport?

NIKKI   My advice to girls who want to be in the sport is to just do it. Don't listen to people who say it's not a girls sport because when fans See a girl get out of a racecar they are impressed regardless of where you finished. They see the courage you have to get involved in a male Dominated sport and that is one of my favorite things about the sport. I would love to see more girls involved because I know that just Because you are a girl doesn't mean you can't give them guys a run for their money.

Austin Dillon's Post Race For Kentucky

Photo was made for me  by a  friend

Austin  in Kentucky was a okay race for him for most part of the race he was hanging out in the middle of the pack staying quiet for a bit. I hope he is not hurting to bad  from last weekend's race on the last lap he went into the catch  fence and landed out on the track  upside dopwn. Austin was able to tell everyone he was okay. I know everyone loves to see accident's buit fans  need to remember it is someones love one worried about them to. I am sure the wreck so playing through his mind in this race. Austin ended up 25th. It was not a very good weekend for A D Keep at it Austin we know  you can win.

Post Race For Bubba Wallace's Michigan Xfinity Race

Bubba Wallace will start today's race in Michigan in 3rd. First lap Bubba has already moved back to 5th. Bubba is now in 4th but he  just made a move for 3rd . Caution is now  out for Jeff Earnhardt. Bubba restarted in 3rd Bubba now moved back into 8th. It is a really good race so far a lot of passing going on. Bubba has passed chase for 6th place he is on the move . He would like to get a win so he is doing everything he can to get up there.  Bubba has now made it up in the top-5. Bubba has made his back into 3rd.  The competition yellow has come out  Bubba only takes 2 tires on that stop. Bubba is now in 2nd caution is now back out for a spun car. Bubba was battling for the lead when this caution came out.  Darrell restarted in 2nd but the restart has hurt him he moved back to 3rd, he is now in 2nd. Bubba has been impressive in this race Bubba went for the lead  but got put back into 3rd. Darrell is now on pit road for left rear tires only for the car bouncing.  That took place under a caution. Bubba thinks he has a tire going down. So he is trying to figure that out right now. Bubba was having such a good race up untill now, Bubba is now way back to 14th  now 16th. Darrell is having trouble handling his car right now. Green flag stops are noe underway with the green flag stops Bubba is back in  3rd. He is now making a pit stop to see what is wrong with the car. Caution is now out for a spun car. Bubba got hit and has a lot of damage Bubba finish in 15th

Re Caping Austin Dillon's Sonoma Race

Austin started Sundays road course in Sonoma in 37th. This should be a interesting race for me because not use to the everything backwards but it's starting to grow on me. There is a lot of turns in a road course. The first part of the race has been fun to watch getting pretty intense. Austin has been staying back in 37th for a while now it has been all single file up till now  There was some passing going on. Austin has moved up to 35th there is a lot of side  by side action going on. Austin has made his way up to 31st. Go Austin  he has made his way up to 31st he has got to 30th some pushing being tried they are trying to push others out of the way. Caution is now out for the 38 deep in the tire wall a tire  had come off the car. I have to admit for not liking this kind of race I did like this race. Austin finish in 17th. Good job to the whole 3 crew good luck in your next  race.

Austin Dillon's Michigan Post Race Report

Austin started 7th for Sunday's race at Michigan International Speed Way  on the first lap Austin already  got back to 10th. There has been a lot of passing for the lead it has been pretty good so far fo being the first 6 laps. Caution than came out and they are doing pit stops on the caution but the leaders all stay out.  It has started to rain. Red flag was than brought out When they restart in 12th ''Austin said he was a bit loose and they are working on it and he thinks he can get a top-10 finish and he seems to be doing good on the restarts''   Drivers are now back in their cars we are ready to get going again , cars where than rolling off of pit road. This should make it a interesting restart to watch. There was a troubling cloud over turn 4 they where not out for to long when they got read flagged for rain.  The drivers then went back to the cars again they are now back on the track. Austin restarted in12th one lap until competition yellow has now been moved up to 40 it is now 7 wide on the restart Austin has made his way back up to 8 so far race has been okay but a lot of rain. The rain was tourture for this race there was 4 red flags before the race had been call the 41 won due to rain. Austin came in 20th at the finish because of the rain call.

Wednesday 10 June 2015

Austin started 9th for the FedEX 400 benefiting Autism Speaks in Dover. There has been a lot of action up in the front a
lot of passing taking place. With 9 laps in Austin is in 10th there is still a lot of passing. Austin has gone back 1 spot Austin has been impressive this year so far with good finishes each weekend. Austin is a very talented young driver , I can see him trying to fight his way into the chase this year. I hate how everyone say that Austin got the ride handed to him because of who his Grandfather is, his grandfather is Richard Childress owner of R C R and  because Austin drives for him they say it was handed to him which is so wrong.  Austin has worked his way up just like everyone Else has he already has championships to his name he has earned his way into this sport if Richard did not think he was ready he wouldn't have moved him to full time last year because of who he is means nothing.

Austin has moved his self back into 11th he has been staying up front for all 53 of the 400 laps so far up to this point there has been no caution. First caution then came out Austin was in 10th before that had come out.Pit Stops have begun under the caution flag I had been mostly all single file after that restart Austin was fighting Kurt Busch for 9th and passed him. Austin has slipped back into 12 Austin has drifted back to 16th position still mainly single file racing up front. With 130 laps are now complete Austin is in 17th right now. There is a lot of traffic up in front of the pack. Green flag stops is now underway. Austin is currently 15th but because of his stop he was now in 24th, caution than came out for the 17 hitting the wall.  On the restart there was a lot of double file racing. Austin Dillon's ALL STAR SHOWDOWN RECAP

Well last night we had the all star show down which took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Austin started 5th for the first segment. We will see how Austin makes out once the race starts. I was very impressed with Austin in the first 20 laps he was doing really well he had gained a lot  in the first 20 in segment 1.  Greg Biffle won the first segment. During a small brake anyone who came in to pit have to give up their current position so at the point Austin did come in to pit. The first segment was ok but it did not have any excitement in that half no cautions at  all.

During the first laps of segment 2 a caution came out for a spun car at that point the race was getting interesting. At that point of the race Austin was in 7 when it came down to the finish he did not make in the race. Clint Bowyer won it.It wasn't a jump up and down race for me and my driver but Austin is a racer he will keep going after those win's and good finish's. Yes it may be going into half way point but still a lot of racing left to go.

Here is my interview wifth Maritime Pro Stock Driver Dylan Gosbee's Wife Jenine Gosbee

Where are you from?

 I am from Charlottetown P E I.

How long have you been aroun d the sport for?

I went to our local races a few times as a young teenager but started foing consistently when I met Dylan when I was 15 which would be 15 years ago.

Is it scary having your hubby race in the summer?

For the most part its not scary having my husband race, not after all these years, but there are definitely sone moments where I get a little tense.

What is it like to be a race car drivers wife?

I love this sport and enjoy being able to support Dylan, Having said that this sport requires a lot if commitment and sacrifice which is difficult at times but the joy it brings to Dylan to be behind the wheel of a race car makes it worth it.

With having a toddler and a newborn do you get to the races often?

. Unfortunately with such young children at home I don't get to travel to all the races, I only make it to about 1/4 of them but I always follow the race on race time radio or twitter or have a friend update me.

What is you fave track on the tour?

My favorite track is probably Antigonish, but I also enjoy Petty a lot as its close to home and Dylan usually does well there.

Do you enjoy the traveling each weekend?

m not a huge fan of the traveling, it has its ups and downs. Sometimes its nice but it makes for a really long day/ weekend.

What would you tell other wives or girlfriends of a driver?

I think its important for everyone to have a hobby their passionate about and I believe as wives we are called to support our husbands. There definitely needs to be a balance in our lives and when u have that balance it works out!

Are you a NASCAR Fan like your hubby?

! Im not aw big a fan of Nascar as Dylan is but I do enjoy it and watch most races with him and cheer for Kyle Bush

Is it hard not to be scared watching him out there at times?

It breaks my heart at times to watch him work so hard and sacrifice so much and then get wrecked or have something break.

How hard is it for you when he has a hard weekend?

Dylan is so hard on himself and so passionate about this sport and aa his wife its very difficult to see when he doesnt get back what he puts in!

Where are you from?

 I'm from miramichi New Brunswick

How long have you been a race Driver for?

I've been racing for the past 16 years starting in go karts, and then eventually moved my way up into legends cars. After spending 3 or 4 seasons in that i moved to the local pro stock ranks in fredericton. And from there moved to a sportsman for a couple seasons. Now I'm back full time racing different tour and local races all over

Coming from New Brunswick do you get to travel to other tracks on the tour?

Yes, we have raced at every track in New Brunswick, with the sportsman and pro stock.

What made you get into liking the tour?

I grew up watching guys on the tour like Wayne smith, Shawn Tucker. And always looked up to them guys. Never thought I would get to race door to door with them but it was really a dream that's now a reality most weekends.

How many races through the summer do you get to?
Usually we get to do anywhere between 12 - 16 races per summer

What is it like going to the I W K 250 race I have never been to one?

I've never raced in the iwk 250, but it's an amazing track with so much to take in. We plan on making our first appearance this year.

Do you enjoy meeting new fans?

I always love meeting new fans. Love being able to talk and get to know them personally each week and thank them for making it possible for us drivers to be able to do what we love.

Who is your fave Driver on the tour?

Growing up my favourite driver on the tour was Shawn tucker. Local New Brunswick guy with lots of experience made it easy to pull for him.

What can you tell people not use to the tour?

The tour is one of a kind for sure. Always exciting fast racing.

 Are you a NASCAR fan?

Big nascar fan, don't usually get to watch to many races but when i do it's a relaxing Sunday afternoon!

My Interview With MPST Driver Dylan Gosbee

This picture is not mine I take no credit for it it is Dylan's pic

This is my interview with Dylan Gosbee, Dylan races on the Maritime Pro Stock Tour her in Maritime Canada every summer sorry I lost my questions but here is his answers.

I have raced since I wad 15. Started at Raceway Park in Oysterbed bridge in Hobby stock

I've raced in Hobby stock street stock modified and currently race sportsman prostock and pass

I've raced mpst for 3 yrs now

The traveling isn't bad when the races are spaced out every other weekend but gets hard when we race back to back weekends

I'm sure my wife gets nervous but she loves it as much as I do and supports it 100%

You always feel more pressure to perform at your home track

The competition in MPST and PASS is second to none. There's always 10 cars that have a shot to win the race given the right circumstances

I've had a few hard crashes. I broke my wrist and thumb 4 years ago in a crash

I love meeting the fans I think it's great to get to get to meet them at the differnt tracks and chat prior to the race.

It's really hard to get sponsors but I have been lucky to have some great people and sponsors behind me. Wendelle Taylors Garage. Eastern Mechanics. Trinity Bay Paving and Greenfield Enterprise

For the most part all of the drivers race pretty clean. The hardest part is not beating your self

The car is getting close to being ready for 2015 there's a few changes that we need to make but can't wait to hit the track

I enjoy watching the short track and road corse races in nascar the other races are great if you need help falling asleep haha

My Interview with NASCAR Fan Don Catron

J S Where are you from meaning where where you born at?

D C  Freeport Illinois

J S  How long have you been a fan for?

D C  Watched races as a child on TV, but really became a fan in the late 70s The action of the sport, plus actually meeting some "up & comers

J S  What would you say is your #1 track to go to?

D C  Bristol is my favorite because you are right on to of the track. There just aren't any bad seats

J S  What have you witness between other fan's at tracks you have gone to?

D C  NASCAR fans AR like a giant family. If you ever need anything while at the track, you can find someone that will share or sell it

J S  What do you prefer day or night races?

D C  Night. Nothing beats the action under the lights

J S  Do you like the new rule changes so far put in place?

J S  Do you like the tough competion during the chase?

D C   Any playoff format brings the best out of the competition

J S  What is your opinion on how to improve NASCAR?

D C   All drivers must pick a series to run in for points. That are allowed to run in other series, but no points or check for winning
That way more younger / newer drivers will be in the races since teams won't want to "throw cars away" racing for just the trophy It will still be additional seat time, plus they all claim they do it for the fun of the sport. Of that's true, come race

J S   What would you change in Sport?

D C  Change in the sport would be to get back to some of the older/smaller tracks where the sport started

J S  How would you make it more better for the fans?

D C   Most local tracks have a meet and greet session before the race, NASCAR could do something similar instead of the intro parade

Austin's Post Daytona Results

Austin started the 57 Daytona 500 in 30th position Austin had to start there because he did not lock into the race through the qualifying.  Austin got in because he finish in 15th place in the Bud Duel on Thursday night.

For the first half of the race Austin stayed back in the back no higher than 30th. With cautions  half way he worked his way up to the front. Austin had a great second half where he placed in14th

Austin went through  three cars during his speed weeks.  I am glad he finish up having a great Daytona 500. This was the second time he has been in  the All American big race of the year. Austin got in a wreck with Jeff Gordon in the last few laps. I am sure there is a lot of Jeff fan's not liking him for that.

With this being Austin's second year in the 500 I am sure he  still get's nervous when the 500 comes along away year. Austin is still  very young in the sport he will keep getting better with each 500 he races in.

I think that the more races that Austin gets under his belt the better he will become in the Sprint Cup. Good luck Austin in this weekends race.
